Implementing safety norms at our workplaces and managing the environmental impact of our operations is a key focus area for Logistica India. As a forward-thinking company, we are very aware of the need to be a sustainable organization in all aspects. We comply strictly to all statutory regulations in place for safety and the environment.
Our processes are monitored regularly and measures taken to provide appropriate working conditions and safety measures for our staff. Our objectives are to ensure the physical safety and well-being of our personnel, ensure the protection and preservation of material stored, and minimize any adverse environmental impact of our operations and systems.
Some of the steps taken to achieve the above objectives include :
Comprehensive safety awareness training and activities / drills to build employee awareness, so that all necessary precautions are taken at the workplace
Periodic inspection and preventive maintenance / repair of machinery, vehicles, warehouse racks and other storage systems
Preventing accidents due to pallets being loaded incorrectly by installing pallet rack guards and fall protection netting
Provision of PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety helmets, protective goggles, safety shoes, reflective clothing, hand gloves and ear plugs to operators and warehouse personnel
Installation of systems for fire detection, control and protection such as fire alarms, smoke detectors, extinguishers, sprinklers and fire blankets
Optimization of routes and container loading to ensure fuel / energy is not wasted on partially-loaded or empty containers
Use of multiple transport modes (intermodal transport) to reduce energy consumption and the carrier’s carbon footprint
